About the Board

Dr Nik Kotecha OBE is an award-winning entrepreneur, business leader, philanthropist and founder of Loughborough-based Morningside Pharmaceuticals Ltd, which he he grew from a garage start-up to become one of Leicestershire's Top 100 companies.

He is also a member of the LLEP (Leicester & Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership).

Dr Kotecha draws on his expertise in R&D, manufacturing and worldwide ethnic and cultural diversities gained through visiting most continents, and experience of exporting Healthcare products worldwide.

He has a strong passion for giving back to the local community, country and International Aid Sectors.

Andy Reed OBE is the director of Sajelmpact, an organisation that offers a wide variety of bespoke support and advice for sport bodies, NGBs, social enterprises and faith charities, making sure their strategies and communications are effective with the key stakeholders in their sector and bringing social transformation projects to life.

He is also the Vice-Chair of the LLEP (Leicester & Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership).

Cllr Jewel Miah is Leader of Charnwood Borough Council.

Lez Cope-Newman is the Chair of Love Loughborough Business Improvement District and Freeman of the Borough.

Jane Hunt is the MP for Loughborough and has been a Charnwood Borough Councillor for a number of years. Whilst as councillor she was the Lead Member for Planning, Inward Investment and Strategic Tourism so is already heavily invested in the regeneration of the town. As MP she is keen to use this opportunity to continue to improve Loughborough as a destination for visitors and a home to professionals.

Cllr Deborah Taylor has been a Leicestershire County Council since 2017. Deborah is currently Deputy Leader and Lead Member for Children, Families, Safer Communities and Regulatory Services. She is also a Charnwood Borough Councillor and a trustee of Bradgate Park and Swithland Wood Charity.

Martin Traynor is the Chair of the Economy and Skills Group and Charnwood Together.

Cllr Tillotson is Charnwood Borough Council's Lead Member for Economic Development, Regeneration and Town Centres.

Jo Maher is Principal and Chief Executive at Loughborough College, an FA Council member, Youth Commissioner for the Learning and Work Institute and a Trustee of the Skills Education Group. Jo is a qualified teacher, assessor, Chartered Scientist and internationally published academic.

David Pagett-Wright is a Solicitor and Practice Manager at Moss Solicitors LLP, Chair of Loughborough Town Team and former Chair of Love Loughborough BID. David is also Chair of the Town Deal Community Engagement Group

Professor Chris Rielly is the Dean and Professor of Chemical Engineering in the School of Aeronautical, Automotive, Chemical and Materials Engineering at Loughborough University.
